Wafia takes us higher on ‘Flowers and Superpowers’

Wafia continues her run of new releases with new single ‘Flowers and Superpowers’. Co-written by Wafia and previous collaborator Wrabel, the track was produced by Grammy award nominee Rogét Chahayed and Grammy award winner Hit-Boy (Travis Scott, Beyoncé, Jay-Z & Kanye West).

Stacked with atmospheric bird-like sounds and an inarguably hypnotic post-chorus, ‘Flowers and Superpowers’ captures “a night where I got a little too high off edibles and was the worst/most paranoid/talkative version of myself”, says Wafia.

Delivering glittering, rich vocals in classic Wafia fashion, the track sees Wafia “thinking if the person I was with would still love me after this embarrassment of a night, but they were nothing but loving, kind and caring as they helped bring me back down”.

‘Flowers and Superpowers’ hones in on Wafia’s hyper-awareness of her surroundings, and her ability to concoct a bizarre, yet addictive track fuelled by musical twists and turns.

Perhaps the most thrilling aspect of ‘Flowers and Superpowers’ is Wafia’s mellifluous voice, transitioning tonally in company with the ebbs and flows of the sonics.
