Australian brothers B.Monroe (Brennan), Lipz (Bryce) and Auzy Foxxx (Austin) formed to create ‘Sisters Doll’ 7 years ago. Since then, they have continued to grow as a glam rock band. Their latest album ‘All Dolled Up’ has enjoyed great success and brought punk back.

LB: Welcome Sisters Doll. Congratulations on the release and success of your ‘All Dolled Up’ album, it is impressive to see an unsigned band make their mark on the iTunes chart!

SD: Thanks so much for having us, means a lot [we] hope you enjoyed the new album.

Since the release, has your sole focus been on promoting the album worldwide or have you also been using the time to work on more new releases?

Yes, since the release of “All Dolled Up” we have promoted and pushed the album making it our number one priority to get the album out to the world. We have been pushing it to all avenues all independently through the internet, social media, online store and all the major digital outlets. This all takes time to get it into the right hands of the industry people but we are proud of this album and will continue to get it out to the world. We will have a new single from the album released in the coming months.

You guys have played some major venues like Whiskey a Go Go and the Hard Rock Cafe in the US, are there any other venues around the world that you dream of playing? What makes those venues so special to you?

Yes we have been pretty fortunate to play some great iconic venues around the world and in Australia but our ultimate dream and goal will be to play Madison Square Garden. Ever since we started this band that has been our career dream because once you play Madison Square Garden that means you have pretty much made it to the big time haha.

The look and image of your band is very glam/rock. How does your image influence your music and the types of shows you guys put on for your fans?

Our look is something that has evolved over our 7 year career, in the early days we were pretty tame with our look but then there was a period when we released our first album that we took the whole glam thing very serious and had a lot of colour/flamboyant sort of look. After releasing the new album this year we have toned our look back a little bit because to us the music always comes first and sometimes you get moulded into that glam category and don’t get taken seriously. But we feel you need to have a great show to back up good music, we believe in putting on the greatest show we can, whether we are playing to 10 people of 10,000 we always give 110% and we are proud of that. We are pretty quiet and reserved guys but when we dress up ready for the stage we feel our alter ego’s come out and we are like wild animals ready to attack.

Which new countries have you played following the release of your second album, and how is the audience’s reaction to the music in each country?

Are the atmospheres different, and has the positivity you have received taken you aback?

Since releasing the new album we have only toured and played Australia, new countries are definitely on the horizon in the future and We will be aiming for late this year or early next year. We want to tackle places like Europe, USA and Japan.

I read previously that KISS has been one of your greatest influences, and they were also your first concert. Now, you guys will be playing with Peter Criss this month. Do moments like this help you see how far you have come as a band?

Yes, being huge KISS fans from a young age never in a million years did we ever think we would get the opportunity to play alongside a industry legend and hero of ours. When we were onstage playing alongside Peter we had to pinch ourselves every second and you couldn’t wipe the smiles off all of our faces. We were honoured and humbled to play with the legendary Peter Criss.

Can you describe how it felt to find out that you would be performing with such an influence of yours, and such an significant figure in the rock scene?

At first it didn’t sink in and because we are part of an industry where a lot of doors can open but majority of them slam shut in your face pretty quickly, so when the idea was announced to us we didn’t get overly excited because we generally thought it wasn’t going to happen but as the months drew closer reality started to sink in and our hearts were getting more and more pumped as time got closer. It was a great feeling.

I saw on your website, the tattoos of some hardcore fans. Are there any other memorable fan encounters you guys have had that you will never forget?

The tattoos were definitely something we never thought fans would do. We are so humbled and we honestly have the best fans in the world. The things our fans send us and the things they do for us to show their gratitude for this band, [it] honestly means the world to all three of us and we will be forever grateful.

Thank you so much for taking the time to have a chat and once again congratulations on the album, it sounds awesome and I look forward to hearing more music from you guys!

Thank you so much for the interview you rock… [it’s] been hectic here at the moment but we hope to do it again. Crank the album to 11 🙂 ROCK ON – Sisters Doll
