Eluera explores self-doubt on ‘Good Girl’
Eluera is clued in on melancholy pop on her latest single Good Girl. In a genre fulminating with talent and young tastemakers, Eluera recruits her glossy vocal to narrate the insecurities and unease one has when comparing yourself to a new partner’s past relationships.
Co-written by Eluera and her frequent co-writer and producer Dylan Nash, the two were able to use their collaborative dynamic to unlock how it feels to doubt yourself and question your validity within a romantic relationship.
Whilst reserved in its verses, paralleling the sentiment of feeling like another individual’s placeholder, Good Girl’s lingering drum beats and mounting vocals propel the track into a cracking pop territory.
