Julia Lostrom makes a lo-fi pop entrance on ‘Walls’
Melbourne’s Julia Lostrom unveils her second single Walls. The track’s lo-fi trap-pop production serves as the background for narrating a story about the challenge of developing a blossoming relationship when someone won’t let their guard down.
Accompanying the gently textured track is a dreamy visual, set in Lake Tyrrell in regional Victoria. On the visuals Julia says, “I wanted to evoke a sense of freedom with the visuals while still maintaining a scene of romance. When I saw an image of Lake Tyrrell I knew it would be a perfect location.”
The singer showcases the scenery in hopes of illuminating awareness on these areas, and encouraging her listeners to explore Victoria to bring back the sense of community that has been altered by the events of 2020. Lostrom shares, “when the time is right, I hope this video will inspire people to go out and explore further regions of Victoria to help elevate their communities, especially after the devastating fires that have just passed.”
