Liam Payne delivers new urban pop on ‘Stack It Up’

Liam Payne unveils his latest single ‘Stack It Up’. Serving as his first single in a year, Payne hasn’t shown any signs of his creativity deteriorating. The newly-dropped track features rapper A Boogie with da Hoodie, and was also penned by Ed Sheehan, Boogie, Steve Mac and Fred Gibson.

Payne’s track declares his ambition and drive to maximise his potential, whilst fetching his monetary reward on the side. Laid out over an upbeat, steel drum base sonic, he sings, “I got dreams/I got time/ But that ain’t enough to get me by… I got money on my mind”. Payne echoes the feelings of much of the working public, creating an anthem, through the playful lyricism, based around the luxury and advantages of money.

A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s continues his run as a featured artist on some of the biggest pop songs around. Boogie’s verse captures the aforementioned attitude, describing how a lack of money would have resulted in his girl packing her bags, as he claims, “If I ain’t have money/ I woulda been lost her”.

Of the track, Liam is “so happy to be releasing [his] new single and for you all to finally hear it”. He continues, “Me and Boogie had so much fun doing it. This is a song I’m really proud of and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next!” Be sure to listen to ‘Stack It Up’ and watch the accompanying, colourful video above.
