Vancouver Sleep Clinic: Summer 09

Vancouver Sleep Clinic releases woeful track ‘Summer 09’, from his upcoming album ‘Onwards to Zion’. The track, reflecting on the death of a close friend of Vancouver Sleep Clinic’s Founder, Tim Bettison encompasses the fragility of life and the world around you.

Bettison details, “he was one of my best friends from high school, and played in Vancouver Sleep Clinic for our first few shows”. Delicately crafted with confusion and love at a mountaintop in Bali, the song’s progression came rather quickly.

“When we were in Bali, one of my friends started playing some chords on the guitar, and the song just came to me in that moment”, says Bettison.

Mesmerisingly calm guitar, and a subtle, gentle raspy vocal from Vancouver Sleep Clinic harnesses the unforgettable memories shaped with a dear friend, and the heartbreak, struggle and healing of losing a loved one.
