Vast Hill’s 10 picks!

atOlla – Bloom:
We’re lucky to call this duo our good friends. We’re not lying we’ve played this on repeat hundreds of times.

BORNS:
The atmosphere he creates is insane. Definitely a big inspiration for our bridge in Far Away From Home.

Touch Sensitive:
Without listening to Touch Sensitive, Elle would have never written Heartbreaker.

Froyo:
Vast Hill probably wouldn’t be a thing if it wasn’t for Froyo.

Electric Youth:
Some of our tracks get compared to Electric Youth a lot…which we don’t think is a bad thing.

Todd Terje – Inspector Norse:
One of the best instrumental tracks around and a major inspiration in writing Abagail.

Electric Light Orchestra – Big Wheels:
One of our top 3 favourite bands of all time!

Human League – Don’t You Want Me Baby:
Always a reminder for us to do more boy girl duet tunes.

Soul Love – David Bowie:
On top of it being a perfect song from a perfect album, the feel of the song really inspired Aind to write “We’d Move”.

When The Lights Go Out – Naked Eyes:
A bit of a forgotten band that is most famous for their cover, but they demonstrate some awesome songwriting in their originals.
