Winterbourne: Too Many

In conjunction with announcing their largest ever headline tour, Winterbourne releases their newest single ‘Too Many’. The duo soar through hardship and uncertainty in the latest single. The track serves as a late inclusion to their upcoming album ‘Echo of Youth’. Despite its divergence from the album, it gives listeners a glimpse of what to expect being the “only song on the record that has a clear uplifting message… serv[ing] as a response to a lot of questions throughout the album”.

Just as the track’s lyricism details the duos journey to reviving their eagerness to stand tall amidst clouds of doubt, their arrangements assume a similar position. Commencing with smooth and balmy vocals, tinged with unassuming, yet powerful synths and layering of instruments, they transition into a more towering, heftier sound.

To Winterbourne, “Too Many is a slow build from one point to another with a bunch of ramblings that rhyme over the top. Much like when you’re staring out into the distance and all the things that are making you feel overwhelmed are adding up in your head but then some thought or chemical brings you comfort, and you revel in that while you walk home listening to music. Plus rhyme.”

’Too Many’ lends itself to the collection of songs Winterbourne has to offer as a positive spark piecing the elements of the album together. Listen to ‘Too Many’ now.
